| Winter Pet Watch |
| Yes, they have fur coats, wolves have survived in the wild for eons, and some breeds are designed to be outside in the cold... BUT NOT YOURS! YOUR DOG IS DOMESTICATED AND CAN'T WITHSTAND THESE COLD TEMPERATURES!!! Now that winter has finally made an appearance, here are some tips to keep your best friend healthy: 1. In frigid temperatures (below 30 degrees), don't leave your dogs outside for long periods of time. They don't know how to keep themselves warm! 2. If there is a lot of ice, check paw pads regularly for cuts that can get infected. 3. Road salt can make your dog sick when he licks it from his paws, either shovel or use pet-friendly de-icer. |
